What better way to declare to the world that you are a force to be reckoned with than by getting ink? The placement of your statement of originality is paramount. Where to put it? If you are a woman, the shoulder, ankle or mid-lower back are traditional choices. For men, forearms and biceps are good choices. Upper arm placement is convenient: you can cover it with a shirt sleeve when you go home to visit mom or go to work or church but can easily expose it by wearing a sleeveless T when you want to make a statement.
It has often been said that the measure of a man or woman is in the statement he or she makes to the world. A woman can make an even bolder statement by the placement of her piece on the upper arm instead of opting for the usual spots. Your local artist can no doubt help you decide where on your body to place your work but in the end, the decision rests with you. You could place it on your wrist, as a permanent bracelet, on your elbow in a radial design, or on the bicep or shoulder if your design lends itself nicely to that placement.
Imagine the looks you’ll get at the beach or on the way to the tanning booth with your highly visible ink work flashing. No doubt that looks of admiration may lead to glares of jealousy so you may be well served to employ the buddy method when visiting the washroom while at the beach. It would be awful to be followed by a group or gang of ill-meaning toughs on the way to relieve oneself just because they hold envy of your fine appearance in their hearts. Having a pal along with you could certainly defray the situation if it started to get a little dicey. He or she could stand behind you while you pee, in full crane style stance ready to retaliate against those who may wish you harm and you could likewise reciprocate for them by serving a like purpose. Security is everyone's concern when it comes to using the washroom in a public place.
So you can really do much worse than getting your ink on your sleeve. It is a great place to rock it if that's the way you roll. You could make an appearance on a reality TV show while you get it done so that many people can get a chance to hear your important personal story. Like as not love may come a calling too.
